Exercise At Home

We all know the benefits of exercise. For some reasons some of us are shy to exercise in public areas. Don't let this hinder you from exercising. Do it in the comfort of your home. Listed below are some options:

Stairs Climbing
You can get the same benefits at home as you would in a step aerobics class at the gym. If you have a staircase in your home, you can get a great workout by simply climbing the stairs. To start, stand at the bottom of the stairs and walk in place for about one minute to get your leg muscles warmed up. Next, step up onto the first stair, and then back down. Repeat this move on the first stair only ten times. Walk in place for fifteen seconds. Next, walk up the first two stairs, and then back down, then walk up one stair and back down. Repeat ten times. Then go up three stairs, come down, walk up two stairs, come down, and walk up one stair and come down. Repeat ten times. Continue the pattern up ten stairs. You will definitely feel the burn by the end of this step routine. I don’t recommend going up more than ten stairs because it will get tricky to walk back down after that point. If you feel winded or dizzy, start slow. Stick with the first three stairs, and gradually build up your endurance over the weeks and months to come.

Skipping Rope
Perhaps the oldest form of exercise, almost everyone would have used it in childhood. It helps enhance agility, coordination, endurance and timing, resulting in increased cardio fitness and helping develop long and lean muscles in the upper and lower body.

•Stand in front of a clock or timer of some sort
•Jump Rope for 3 minutes to warm up
•Rest for 30 seconds
•Jump rope as quickly as possible for 60 seconds
•Rest for 30 seconds
•Jump Rope as quickly as possible for 60 seconds
•Rest for 30 seconds
•Repeat this alternating pattern for 15 minutes

Adjustable Forearm Developer
The easiest way to strengthen and tone your forearms and wrist muscles. Put your hand inside the adjustable grip bar, strap on your arm and pull the handle. You will end up with muscled arms as if you have been pulling weights.

Power Bell
Also known as cattle bell, it works much like the dumb-bell. The only difference is you have different weights in one equipment and it can be adjusted according to your liking. You can either lift it or swing it. It helps to tone muscles and increases blood circulation and bone intensity.

Reebok Core Ball
This ball strengthens core muscles, sculpts upper and lower body and shapes your muscle from head to toe. There are difference sizes to fit your exercise regime.

Push-up Bar
The easiest way to do push-ups. You can do your push-up by allowing natural arm rotation in the handles. The rotating handle design accelerates results by activating more muscles in the chest, arms, shoulders and back during every move.

Active Home Stepper
If you are into light exercise, this home stepper is an option. As you step up and down, it burns calories and increases blood circulation.

Treadmill Time
If you can afford to get just one piece of workout equipment for your home gym, it should be a treadmill. Walking and jogging on a treadmill will give you an excellent cardiovascular workout. Try to get in a minimum of thirty minutes a day. Experiment with different speeds and inclines.

Dancing
Dancing is a great way to burn off pounds, and it also great fun. Turn on some off your favorites tunes with a fast and energetic beat, and break it down. It doesn’t matter what you look like – all that matters is that you are burning calories, and loving every minute.

Surely there is one that suits you. Start now. You need to sweat. Invest in your Health today!

  2. Stair-climbing is a great one. I do it in the winter as a substitute for running outdoors.

  9. I believe so.

    1) Nowadays fitness gyms may charge a bomb for admission.

    2) And some people may be shy to sweat it out in the public.

    3) No need to travel.
